The MHSO has a long-standing commitment to, and extensive experience in, developing educational programming with students. Student-centred, project-oriented learning has been a significant interest of the Society since it was established. The following projects illustrate the types of school-based initiatives that the MHSO has undertaken. The oral history components of these initiatives – especially the inter-generational engagement they prompted – have proven very valuable. They helped students become aware of and interested in the lives of people who are different from themselves.
