The MHSO believes that new technologies can be effective tools for increasing student engagement and their use can enhance the learning of history. It also supports the emerging practice of technology-integrated teaching. Consequently, the websites that the Society has produced, or been involved in producing, include curriculum-linked educational resources such as online teachers’ guides, lesson plans, and digitized primary sources. They are also structured in ways – with a focus on themes, for instance – that they provide easy entry points into specific curricula as well as opportunities for informal learning.
