The MHSO recently strengthened the relationship it has with the Ontario Heritage Fairs Association by assuming a more active role in the heritage fairs that the Association stages across the province. For several years, MHSO staff had attended, and served as judges at, the Toronto West Regional Heritage Fair. In 2013/14, the Society also became the sponsor of the Multicultural History Society of Ontario Award for excellence in projects related to Ontario’s diverse heritage. It provides certificates of recognition, ribbons, and book prizes for distribution at the sixteen regional heritage fairs held throughout the province.
