These two photos show the diverse clientele of the Waffle House in New Westminster, a business Susan Chew ran from 1952 to 1964. It became a popular gathering place among locals, press and politicians. Susan attributes the restaurant’s popularity to the light-weight waffle batter she used. She called her waffles 'Jiffy Wiffy Waffles' because they were aromatic and fast-cooking. She also sold the mix so that people could make their own Jiffy Wiffy Waffles at home.
