The Safe Haven collection features a series of interviews of five refugee families who found a safe haven in Canada and share the story of the troubles that drove them from their countries, the trauma of the journey, and the challenges of resettlement. It is as well a story about all of us as Canadians, of our being and becoming, of our nation still in the making, and of how it is trying to define and protect a secure sense of itself at the same time.
