Today, Ivan is a patent officer with the law firm of Glowling, Strathy and Henderson. After lengthy study and retesting, he re-established himself in his previous profession. Following the establishment of a democratic government in 1989, he returned to Czechoslovakia in a business capacity the following year to help organize a seminar on Canadian and U.S. patent law.
