Maria Angelica entertains her newest grandchild Christopher in the backyeard of her home at the Co-op Arauco -- a Chilean-Canadian housing cooperative in which she lives with her adult children and their families. They have all visited Santiago since the reinstitution of democracy, and all could return permanently if they chose. Maria Angelica now considers Canada her home and for the time being so do her children.
